The Fort Myers Beach Film Festival is back for its seventh year, attracting independent film fans, filmmakers, and distributors to spend four fabulous days and nights on the Gulf beaches of Fort Myers Beach, Florida to exchange ideas, make new contacts, and enjoy some compelling and interesting films encompassing a wide range of tastes. The events begin on April 24th and end on April 28th, 2013 with events to choose from for all ages. The Fort Myers Beach Film Festival presents abundant and entertaining reasons for families and friends to visit Fort Myers Beach in late Spring for some of the best films and weather anywhere in the country. Fort Myers Beach Hotels are offering special rates for Film Festival Fans along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico to help support the international celebration of independent filmmaking with special film festival hotel rates at Dolphin Inn. Accommodations are also available at Lovers Key Resort and SunStream Hotels and Resorts.
FILMMAKER SHARES CANDID TALES FROM BEHIND THE SILVER SCREEN FOR FORT MYERS BEACH FILM FESTIVAL
The Fort Myers Beach Film Festival will present “TOUGH AIN’T ENOUGH: CONVERSATIONS WITH ALBERT S. RUDDY,” a documentary on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 pm at the Beach Theater. Two-time Academy Award-winning producer/writer, Albert S. Ruddy candidly reveals how he fought against all odds to produce some of the most iconic motion pictures and television shows of all time, including Best Picture winners THE GODFATHER and MILLION DOLLAR BABY plus THE LONGEST YARD, CANNONBALL RUN I and II, WALKER TEXAS RANGER and HOGAN’S HEROES.
Winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2013 United Film Festival in Los Angeles, “TOUGH AIN’T ENOUGH” is an informative and entertaining insight on the challenges of filmmaking from a producer’s perspective.
Directed by co-producers Lee Anthony Smith and Gregory J. Bradley (“War”) and produced by previous festival celebrity filmmaker Stanley Isaacs (“Raptor Island”) CEO of 100% Entertainment, Inc., the 53-minute documentary kicks off a series of events leading up to the Eighth Annual Fort Myers Beach Film Festival, happening April 23-27, 2014. Executive producers are Mark Alan Davis and Jason Connell, previous festival award winners for “Glow” and “Holy Rollers.”
Tickets are $5.00 per person, available as early as 6:00 p.m. at the door the day of the screening.

The People’s Choice Award (selected by the audience) went to “The Gift of the Game”, written and directed by novelist Randy Wayne White.
